Leadership Program in Social Activism

February 22 - May 17

Tuesdays at 5 pm (MDT)

For 8th-12th Grades

Introduction

How do we become leaders in social justice and activism? What are the attitudes and practices necessary to step into our roles as leaders for our community? This leadership training program will introduce lessons in self-awareness and shifts in practitudes that would prepare us for the work needed to make our communities more equitable and just. It will not only help us explore the potential in ourselves but how these very attributes are manifested in leaders who are currently transforming our communities.

  • Please watch or read the material before the meeting, attend weekly meetings, and share your thoughts, drawings, photos, or videos based on the weekly activities.

Format (via Zoom)

  • 20 mins - Topic discussion between instructor and moderators

  • 30 mins - Small group discussion

  • 10 mins - Recap

  • Activity and Sharing (to be done at your pace in your home)
