Jessica Menjivar

Jessica Menjivar is as a Bilingual Human Trafficking Victim Advocate, serving primarily immigrant and asylee survivors in one of the most diverse cities in the country, Aurora, Colorado, at the Asian Pacific Development Center. As a community advocate, her work consists of legal advocacy, service coordination, crisis intervention, and outreach. She builds and collaborates with multi-disciplinary partnerships including law enforcement, attorneys, consulates, clinics, and other immigrant-serving organizations to advocate for, connect, and empower clients and community. Her forward-thinking advocacy also enriches state-wide efforts and legislation by being an active member in various groups and coalitions around human trafficking, sexual assault, and immigration to advocate for culturally competent and trauma informed systems.
